Biodiversity and Conservation Ecology, with an emphasis on Native Forests
Working area
I conduct fundamental and applied research in the area of Conservation Ecology, focusing on the diversity of vertebrates and woody plants, especially in native forests and forest plantations. I study ecological patterns (distribution, diversity, succession), impacts on biodiversity (land cover and use change, climate change, biological invasions) and develop bases for conservation (eco-regionalization, planning, prioritization, restoration).
