The main objective of my research is to understand how diversity is generated at interspecific and intraspecific levels, focusing on arthropods, and mainly on spiders as a study model. To do this, I generate data from multiple molecular markers that allow us to delimit species, infer their genealogical relationships, and infer the historical processes that determine the distribution of genetic variation. I integrate the information these data provide with those generated by other disciplines, such as ecology, behavior, and taxonomy, to understand the processes that generate biodiversity. These studies, in turn, allow us to generate information that contributes to defining conservation strategies.
