Research interests

Current lines of research:
-Study of the pericytes of the Nervous System and their communication with other components of the neurovascular unit in an experimental model of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
-Study of the glymphatic system in the progression of symptoms in a murine model of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
- Evaluation of the effects of hypergravity through human centrifugation for the treatment of vascular pathologies.

Other lines of research in collaboration:
-Assessment of the neurovascular unit and white matter in murine models of two pathologies that affect neurodevelopment, type I glutaric acidemia, and iron-deficiency anemia during gestation and lactation.
-Study of Panx1 pericyte channels at the neurovascular interface and their regulation under conditions of cerebral ischemia.
